I feel you. You are o v e r w h e l m e d. Like, running around in a dark room and running into the walls over and over because you don’t know where to stop or start or know if you’re even in the right room at all.
Did that ring a bell? I feel anxious just typing that out.
Let’s dive into that deep wealth we honor called intuition. I know, I know. “It’s not always that easy” you’re thinking at me. Oh, but honey, it is.
Once upon a time I was running an ice cream shop. Yes, me, a grown woman with two children, working side by side with teenagers essentially 24/7. It was…not ideal. But - I was a single mama and needed to pay the bills and this gig was as close to consulting as I was going to get at that point in my life. I came in as a business consultant, doing ALL of the marketing and more, and stayed on for a year.
I was very involved with the local businesses in our small town. I don’t know if you know this yet or not but Blossom Collective is hella big on community. So when COVID-19 came barreling in, I knew our brick-and-mortars were going to be put to the test.
When the business owner decided to hand over the marketing to a man from a larger city because he didn’t think I could handle all the things being a mom (HA. HA HA HA.), it just cemented to me how little I’d been listening to my intuition.
So, what did I do?
I quit.
The ice cream shop, that is. Annnd I uh, started my own digital marketing business. Then I went to work.
I was fortunate enough to work with so many of our local business owners to help them create an online presence that garnered interest and orders. We did not lose one single business to COVID-19 in 2020.
And how did I know to make this step.
I👏 Listened👏To👏My👏Gut.
My intuition. That little thing that pushes me to act even when I’m like nah, I’m gonna sit this one out.
